Memory Upgrades
Your computer may need more memory to save your data, capture your email, download and run your programs. Increasing memory can make your computer run faster and more efficiently. This should be coupled with a look at your entire computer system and/or network. Prices vary, but memory cards are holding more megabytes then ever and although prices fluctuate, increased memory can be an inexpensive solution to sluggish computer performance.
Hard Drive Installation
Think of your Hard Drive like an old 78 rpm record. Your computer cannot function without a hard drive. The larger the Hard Drive, the more powerful your computer. The more powerful, the more efficient you can be and the more programs you can run. Again, prices vary but hard drives are relatively inexpensive and easy to install. We would need to inspect your computer system and look at any issues to diagnose whether the hard drive is where the problem is coming from.
Troubleshooting, Diagnosis and Repair
This is just what the words say. We have touched upon this throughout the website. The Computer Care Associates team are good listeners and good diagnosticians. Think of Computer Care Associates as your computer's HMO plan!
Software Support
Your various applications seem slow to open up and start. Let Computer Care Associates support solve the problem(s). The solution(s) can be as simple as part of the maintenance protocol or increasing the computer's memory.
Maintenance
Please refer to the three Packages listed on the Services page (1) Flat Fee Maintenance (10 hours), (2) Six Months Term Maintenance and (3) Pay-as-You-Go.
New Systems Installation
If you need to buy a new computer or partially replace your system, Computer Care Associates can help you buy and install quality products. We will assist you from purchase through installation to make sure it all works correctly!
Virus and Security Checks
Computer viruses are defined as "viruses" because they share some of the traits of biological viruses. A computer virus passes from computer to computer like a biological virus passes from person to person. A computer virus must piggyback on top of some other program or document in order to get executed. Once it is running, it is then able to infect other programs or documents. Protecting your data, your computer and your business from outside destruction is what Virus Protection (or anti-virus) and Security is all about. Computer Care Associates technicians can install a anti-virus program on your computer and make sure it is updated frequently to protect your system against any new viruses that may attack.
Components Installation (Floppy, CD and DVD Installations, Sound and Video Cards)
this is along the same lines of "hard drive installation" above. Again, prices vary but components are easy to purchase and install. We would need to review your computer system and look at what you need and what your computer can handle. We may have to make the computer more powerful (memory-wise) in order to add on a CD, DVD or other component which you may decide to purchase. We will advise you in every step involved with a purchase, no matter how minor or trivial it may seem. We are here to assist you and help your computer system run efficiently and at its optimum level.
Network Support
Our technicians are trained through the professional licensing of Microsoft and are MCPs (Microsoft Certified Professionals). Computer Care Associates can help you network your computers, maintain the connectivity and functionality of your networks, and perform various computer services as needed. Service calls will be provided within 5 hours to 12 hours (Monday thru Friday) or at a scheduled time. Please note: Weekends and after 9:00 p.m. weekdays rates are $80 per hour.
